Sub: Blind Persons Discount
It has been brought to our notice that passenger who are permanently blind face
a lot of problems in purchasing air tickets as they have to produce a fresh medical certificate
each time they purchase as air ticket. The passenger finds this inconvenient. It has therefore
been decided that, with immediate effect, a photocopy of Medical Certificate, issued by competent
authorities, stating that passenger has permanently lost total vision in both eyes can be accepted.
The passenger will not have to submit the original certificate if he does not wish to do so. However,
the photocopy should be verified with the Original at the time of acceptance.
All other conditions regarding the Blind Persons are remain unchanged.
Please advise all concerned.
